Espanyol Coach Javier Aguirre admitted that Sevilla were the better side as the two drew at Estadi Cornelia-El Prat.
Alvaro Negredo scored a last minute equaliser for the Rojiblancos to claim a 2-2 draw, and the Mexican tactician conceded that Michel's side were 'superior'.
“Sevilla are a good team that move the ball well,” he told a Press conference. “I think they were superior to us.
“We played poorly, but we are slowly growing as a team and are showing a great attitude.”
He also commented on the Periquitos fans and their support for him after just a few weeks in charge.
“I feel for them,” he said. “They pushed the team along for 90 minutes but left with a bad feeling.”
