Beckham backs Kaka for MLS

David Beckham has backed Real Madrid’s Ricardo Kaka as an ideal signing for LA Galaxy, should the Brazilian become available.

The 30-year-old has been frozen out of regular first-team activity at the Bernabeu this season and is strongly linked with a move in January.

Reports have previously linked the attacker with a move to the MLS and particularly to LA Galaxy, as a potential replacement for Beckham, who has since confirmed that he is leaving the club after five years.

Following on from the MLS director’s claim that another ‘bombshell’ signing will be announced soon, Beckham has admitted that Kaka would be one his now former side would do ‘anything for’ in order to sign him.

“If there is any chance of signing Kaka, Galaxy’s owners would do anything for him,” Becks told reporters today.

“He is a talent, a great person and a hard worker. I met him in Milan and he is one of the most professional players I have ever encountered.

“He remains a Madrid player, though, and it is disrespectful to talk about this, but I think most teams would like to have Kaka in their team.”
