‘Spain should be proud of Coaches’

Johan Cruyff believes Spain should be proud to have three tacticians in the running for FIFA Coach of the Year.

Pep Guardiola, Vicente Del Bosque and Jose Mourinho were all named today in the final three for the annual award.

And the Barcelona legend has claimed that the country should be thankful, but believes that their off-field legacy should more important than the results they gain.

“The Spanish people should be proud to have three representatives,” he told a Press conference. “But for me, the important thing is what they give society – the results are not so important.

“Guardiola will appreciate this attitude and Del Bosque deserve to be there for that reason as well.

“The fact that all three work in Spain is something to be proud of though.”
