Love doubts Pep for Brazil

Vagner Love has full respect for Pep Guardiola’s credentials as a Coach, but does not see him as the wisest appointment for the Brazil national team.

Brazil removed Mano Manezes as head Coach last week and were linked with an approach for the former Barcelona boss, to head up the national side’s development towards hosting the 2014 World Cup.

However, Brazilian forward Love does not see value in bringing in the 42-year-old.

“It would be good when considering the type of Coach that he is, but it might not be so easy to demonstrate his style in such a short space of time,” the forward told reporters today.

“We are preparing for the Confederations Cup, then the World Cup… If he had the time then he could do well, but right now it would be difficult for a foreigner to train here.”

Luiz Felipe Scolari is expected to be announced as the new Coach later this week.
