Line-ups: Khedira in, Ozil out

Sami Khedira will start for Real Madrid against Manchester City, as Mesut Ozil has been dropped in favour of Luka Modric.

The former Werder Bremen man will make way for the Croatian international in the No. 10 role, whilst the one-time Stuttgart midfielder comes in to partner Xabi Alonso.

At the back, it is the same four that lined up against Athletic Bilbao at the weekend with Alvaro Arbeloa, Sergio Ramos, Pepe and Fabio Coentrao guarding the goal.

At the other end of the pitch, Angel Di Maria and Cristiano Ronaldo will support Karim Benzema.

City meanwhile start with Maicon and Aleksandr Kolarov as wing-backs, in what looks like a 3-5-3 formation, with Edin Dzeko and former Atletico Madrid man Sergio Aguero leading the line.

Real Madrid: Casillas; Arbeloa, Ramos, Pepe, Coentrao; Khedira, Xabi Alonso; Di Maria, Modric, Ronaldo; Benzema

Manchester City: Hart; Kompany, Nastasic, Zabaleta; Maicon, Yaya Toure, Nasri, Silva, Kolarov; Dzeko, Aguero
