‘Levante want to keep making history’

Hector Rodas is determined for Levante to win away to Helsingborgs this Thursday and book a place in the knockout stages of the Europa League.

Juan Ignacio Martinez’ men know that three points in Sweden will guarantee them passage through to the round of 32, in their first ever season in European competition.

“We will get a result, we would be thrilled to progress and to do it there. It would be nice to keep making history with Levante,” enthused defender Rodas today.

“We have to think that they are finishing their domestic season right now, and have played more minutes, but it such an important game for them because if they win then they also have a chance of progressing.

“We also know that the temperature will only be four or five degrees, we will have to adapt as quickly as possible and get the result.”

After the midweek test, Los Granotes welcome Barcelona to the Ciutat de Valencia on Sunday.

“We are focused only on this game, which is very important because we can achieve something historic.”
