Barcelona are being reported in the British Press as withdrawing interest in Tottenham Hotspur winger Gareth Bale.
The Catalans and rivals Real Madrid have both been continually linked with the Welshman for the past couple of seasons after his notable displays for his London club in the Champions League.
However, due to Los Blancos’ reported interest translating into an expected £40m bid and £150,000 wage offer, Barca are understood to have backed out of the duel.
The Daily Mirror report that whilst Chelsea and Manchester City can also be listed as interested parties in the 23-year-old, Spurs’ chairman Daniel Levy is interested in selling the star abroad, if he pushes for a move.
