‘Stick to style, Sevilla’

Antonio Luna says Sevilla must continue as they have, in terms of level of performance, so as to break a poor run of results and defeat Athletic Bilbao.

The full-back was talking in a pre-match Press conference ahead of today’s trip north to San Mames, which he recognises as a challenge for the side.

“We are preparing for a very difficult game. Athletic are not in their prime, but they are always a very difficult opponent,” the defender reflected.

“We have had a week of great intensity and great desire in training, which is what the game will require of us.”

Sevilla go into the match off the back of disappointing results against Real Zaragoza and Levante, but Luna does not see reason for the team to change how they are playing.

“There is no reason to be nervous. The team is playing at a high level, despite the results. With Levante we deserved more.

“We must continue on this line. On Sunday we have another war and we must win the three points.

“Athletic have a great squad, at San Mames they also give nothing away. If we want to win we have to give a lot of intensity in the game.

“Regarding the match, we will have to maintain our level, otherwise we will not win. Despite recent results we have been showing this level of play and with that again we can get three points.

“It is especially important given that our next game is against Real Betis.”
