Sevilla & Levante in goalless draw

Sevilla were made to rue a host of missed chances as they drew 0-0 with Levante on Sunday evening.

Both sides were hoping to maintain their impressive starts to the campaign with a victory at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan on Sunday, but it was the home team who got off to the brightest start.

Michel's men were dominating possession and almost scored the opening goal inside 10 minutes, only for Alvaro Negredo's effort to be saved by Gustavo Munua.

Federico Fazio and Negredo again, should have scored before half-time, but the away side's defence held strong.

After the break, and still it was all one-way traffic. Emir Spahic and Jesus Navas had good opportunities to score for Sevilla, but Munua and his back four were leading charmed lives.

More late pressure went unrewarded for the hosts, as the Granotes held out for a hard-fought draw.
