Higuain: I’m at Mourinho’s disposal

Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain says he is always at boss Jose Mourinho’s disposal following another impressive display.

The Argentine international scored twice in the 5-0 away win at Real Mallorca and acknowledged things had gone well for him in his fight with Karim Benzema for the main striking role in Mourinho’s line-up.

“I’m happy on a personal level and also for the team because this was a difficult away game that we couldn’t afford to lose. We took the game by the scruff of the neck and showed from the start we wanted to win,” he told a Press conference.

“As for myself, I’m fine and always at the boss’s disposal. I scored today and that is what a good striker does, but the rest is up to the boss.”

On the eight-point gap with leaders Barcelona, Higuain says there is no way Real Madrid will ever give up the fight to hang on their La Liga title.

“We have to take the difference into account but there are 29 games left, which is a lot, but if we keep on winning then it forces them not to fail,” he explained.
