Iniesta sees three Champions rivals

Andres Iniesta has picked out Barcelona’s main rivals for the Champions League and reflected on the secret to his success as a footballer.

The midfielder, who as at a publicity event today, reflected to reporters that the Catalans can face tough competition from three teams in particular for the European Cup.

“It is a very difficult competition and can be unpredictable, one bad game could see you eliminated,” he commented.

“Chelsea, as the holders, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid are the strongest teams in the Champions League, although there are also many other teams that are likely to be pushing.”

The player was also asked of his emotions as he celebrates a decade since his debut for the Barcelona senior team.

“It has been 10 years and every year I have improved, I have become a better player. Playing at the highest level, that was required so as to be at Barca and in the national team.

“Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that things would be as good as they have been. I feel privileged and I hope to play a few more years.”
