Ramos gets Casillas’ vote

Real Madrid and Spain captain Iker Casillas would vote for Sergio Ramos as his first choice for the prestigious Ballon d’Or award.

In an interview with Sportyou, Casillas surprisingly revealed that the Madrid defender would get his five points ahead of another teammate Cristiano Ronaldo, who he selected in second place with three points.

Lastly, Casillas gave Barcelona midfielder Xavi Hernandez, with whom he shares a dressing room for the Spanish national team, one point.

There was no place for La Blaugrana’s Lionel Messi in Casillas’ three-man list despite him being favourite to pick up the coveted title for a fourth consecutive year.
