Song adapting well at Barca

Barcelona defender Alex Song believes he has adapted well to the club following his summer move from Arsenal.

The 25-year-old’s protracted move from the Gunners was finally sealed on August 20, when he signed a five-year deal at the Camp Nou in a move that was worth €19m to the London club.

Since then, Barca boss Tito Vilanova has slowly integrated him into his side and the Cameroon international, who will not be going to the upcoming African Nations Cup after his country failed to qualify, feels he has already adapted well to life in Spain.

“It’s gone very well. Everything I’ve seen of the city I’ve liked and we have a great team. It has been perfect.

“It was easy for me to come here and adapt. I’m not the age I was when I was at Arsenal,” said Song in an interview with Revista Barca.

Song also revealed that Cesc Fabregas, a former teammate from his time with Arsene Wenger’s men, had helped him settle in.

“I slept at his home for the first few days. He’s a good friend and has tried to help me both on and off the pitch.
