Neira settling in at Valladolid

Real Valladolid forward Juan Neira has admitted he is settling in nicely at his new club, whilst also conceded that getting in the team may be tough.

The Argentina Under-20 international joined the Pucela in the summer, and has confirmed that he is relishing the challenge of forcing his way into Miroslav Djukic's starting XI.

“It will be difficult [to get in the team],” he told terra.es. “There are some good players here, and we have started very well.

“As long as I keep working, then hopefully I'll put pressure on the Coach to play me.

“I have adapted very quickly, which is nice. I feel very comfortable, and I'm enjoying it.

“I played in Argentina for five years, but I felt I had to take advantage of this opportunity.”

He also commented on his relationship with the team's Serbian boss, Djukic.

“We are very close. I like what he is doing here, and that makes me feel very comfortable. It's very good.”

Valladolid have started the season in impressive form, picking up 10 points from their first seven games, and currently lying in eighth place in the table.
