Mallorca want Dos Santos’ brother

Real Mallorca are set to unite Jonathan dos Santos with his brother Giovani in the winter transfer market.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Los Bermellones have already approached Barcelona with a view to taking the Mexican midfielder on loan following his omission from every one of Tito Vilanova’s squads this season.

Jonathan is understood to have rejected an offer to join Michel’s Sevilla during the summer to stay and fight for a place at the Camp Nou.

However, the 22-year-old has been frustrated in his attempts to force his way into Vilanova’s plans and is understood to be open to a move where he would link up with his elder brother.

Giovani signed a four-year deal with the Islanders before the start of the season but has yet to make his debut due to a persistent hamstring injury.
