Real Madrid’s Pepe is continuing his post-Clasico war of words with Barcelona and Andres Iniesta, for labelling them as ‘theatrical’.
The Portuguese commented after Sunday’s 2-2 draw that the Catalans’ players and Iniesta in particular were looking for opportunities to win free-kicks and penalties.
Iniesta reacted today with offence at the suggestion, following on from Tito Vilanova’s response after the game, which Pepe has suggested today is indicative of something.
“If someone is offended then it is because the truth hurts,” the defender retorted whilst on duty with the Portugal national team.
“I am used to it [Vilanova’s response], but I only said what really happened in the game.”
