Mourinho: Draw a good result

Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho has claimed that a draw would be a good result in Sunday's El Clasico.

The Portuguese Coach has admitted that his side will be pleased with a point away at Camp Nou, but also conceded that the squad will go all out for a victory against Barcelona.

“If the team does not do well, then a draw would be a fantastic result,” he told AS. “But if we arrive, play well, have many chances to score and deserve to win, then a draw is a terrible result. It depends how the game develops.

“Both teams are good, and typically, meetings between these two are balanced games. Out only concern is to play well. We are improving all the time, and if you compare ourselves to how we played in the first few games, it is a vast improvement.”

The former Chelsea also went on to comment about the injuries to the Blaugrana's top centre-backs, Gerard Pique and Carles Puyol.

“Barcelona have a quality squad, and they can address these problems. For Puyol, I'm glad his injury is not as serious as first though. And for Pique, we are ready if he plays or not. Last season we went to Camp Nou without Pepe, and the world did not end.”

He then remarked on his squad for the match, and the starting XI he may pick.

“Karim Benzema and Gonzalo Higuain will not play together. I decided against Ajax that Marcelo would play at left-back, but every game is different, so you will see [if Fabio Coentrao starts].

“I want continuity. I have been talking with the players about organization and good individual performances. Our concern is to reach the levels of last season. We knew it would be difficult to maintain, but this match will be important in that regard.”
