Philippe Montanier was left ruing Real Sociedad’s poor finishing at Real Betis, as they slumped to a 2-0 defeat at the Benito Villamarin.
Goals from Paulao and Ruben Castro were enough to fell La Real, but Montanier believes his side should have gotten something out of the game.
“We have not taken advantage of our opportunities to score as a team, and Betis did,” the Frenchman told reporters afterwards.
“When we had chances to score they should have been exploited. We lost the game, a game that went well, but was inefficient.
“The defeat is a shame, we had controlled the beginning and the second half, we started very well, but not effectively.”
