Pellegrini sees a motivated Malaga

Manuel Pellegrini says that his Malaga team continue to maintain their ambition and are not complacent for what they have already done.

The Anchovies are currently unbeaten this term, sit third in the League and top their Champions League group.

Heading to the capital tomorrow to face Atletico Madrid, Coach Pellegrini was quick to point out the team are not resting on their laurels just yet.

“The team is good, with very high spirits, even though the opponent is difficult and is in great shape,” he began to today’s conference.

“It is a workforce that continues to have ambition. We have not fallen into complacency for what we have already achieved. That is most important.”

The former Real Madrid Coach then turned his attention to Atletico’s main men, Radamel Falcao and Diego Simeone.

“Falcao is destabilising, but I can’t say he is the best [in the world at the moment]. Simeone’s work is being reflected in the results.

“He has earned the commitment of his players and I see a good mutual understanding in the field.”
