Ramos denies Mourinho fallout

Sergio Ramos has issued a quick statement today in reaction to growing reports of tension with Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid.

AS are running the line that Ramos’ recent declarations have made worse an already alleged poor relationship with the Portuguese Coach.

At the same time, Mundo Deportivo report Chelsea see this as an opportunity to come in for the player, whilst Marca have focused on the player wearing Mesut Ozil’s shirt underneath his own at the weekend, perceived as another act of defiance.

However, Ramos has taken to his official Twitter account to offer some immediate reaction.

“I would like to clarify a few things before more lies are invented,” posted the 26-year-old this morning.

“Mesut is a great friend and I promised him long ago that my first goal of the season would be for him.

“I wore his shirt last match, because I had a feeling I would score. That's all there is to it.

“My relationship with Mourinho is good, honest and clear. I respect his decisions and for me he is the best Coach, Hala Madrid!”
