Oltra: Depor deserved nothing

Jose Luis Oltra has claimed that his Deportivo team deserved nothing from their match away to Real Madrid tonight.

The Galicians were beaten 5-1, but Oltra suggested that even that scoreline flattered his team somewhat.

“We took the lead without really doing anything to deserve it. It was unjust that the score went to 0-1,” began the tactician after the game.

“But, we will get back up, fix things, because I do not think that the result will affect the team.

“This result may occur, but I would have liked to have seen a little more courage from the players, for them to be more brazen.”

The Coach did not take too kindly to questions as to why Juan Carlos Valeron did not make an appearance tonight.

“I’m disgusted. This is a technical decision that I have no intention of explaining. This was no match for him, it was one for others.”
