Line-ups: Same again for Rayo-Real

Rayo Vallecano and Real Madrid have made no alterations to their line-ups to face each other in Monday’s rearranged fixture.

The two Coaches had named their starting XIs yesterday in anticipation of a Sunday evening game, before a power cut, caused deliberately by an unknown party, caused the temporary postponement of the game to this evening.

Sergio Ramos is reintroduced to the starting line-up for Real Madrid tonight, as the defending champions look for three points at Rayo Vallecano.

For the home side, Paco Jemez has reintroduced Mikel Labaka into the centre of defence, changing tactics from the three-man back-line at Atletico Madrid to a back four tonight.

Andrija Delibasic, who came off the bench last week to score twice, starts tonight, as do Week 4’s other substitutes Lass and Chori Dominguez.

Meanwhile, visitors Real Madrid return centre-back Ramos to the starting XI. Ramos was dropped to the bench in midweek and reported to have trained with the reserves on Thursday and Friday, following reports of a fallout with Coach Jose Mourinho.

Mesut Ozil  and Sami Khedira are left out, in favour of Michael Essien and Luka Modric, whilst Gonzalo Higuain is dropped for Karim Benzema.

Starting line-ups

Rayo Vallecano: Ruben, Tito, Amat, Labaka, Casado; Javi Fuego, Leo Baptistao, Chori Dominguez; Lass, Jose Carlos, Delibasic

Real Madrid: Casillas, Arbeloa, Ramos, Pepe, Marcelo; Xabi Alonso, Essien, Modric; Di Maria, Ronaldo, Benzema
