LFP: Rayo-Real Madrid at 8pm

The Spanish Football League has confirmed that the rearranged fixture between Rayo Vallecano and Real Madrid will kick off at 8pm on Monday night.

The closing game this Sunday was called off after hosts Rayo lost power to sections of their stadium. This was later confirmed by the hosts' President as due to an act of vandalism.

Whilst the game was confirmed as being put back to Monday, Rayo's Paco Jemez and Real's Jose Mourinho differed in their opinion of what time to rearrange it to.

However, the LFP, via Vice-President Javier Tebas, have confirmed that they have made a decision.

“It doesn’t matter what Real Madrid say. The Federation control the times and it has been decided that they will play at 8pm [local time],” he told Europa Press.

“The decision is that of the LFP. The game is being played at 8pm and there is no more to say. It is an agreement also with the television broadcaster.”
