Krohn-Dehli inspires Celta win

Second half goals from summer signings Augusto Fernandez and Park Chu-Young allowed Celta Vigo to defeat Getafe at home.

A lacklustre first half saw both sides only register two shots on target between them, with respective strikers Iago Aspas and Alvaro struggle to get into the game.

The fixture burst into life after the interval, however, with Argentine winger Fernandez neatly finishing a move orchestrated by fellow arrival Michael Krohn-Dehli with a run from midfield to give the hosts the lead.

Only two minutes later the visitors equalised through Abdel Barrada, who fired it past Javier Varas after a superb piece of skill by Diego Castro.

On-loan Arsenal striker Park Chu-Young replaced Mario Berjemo 10 minutes after that, and with his first touch of the ball scored the winning goal, after Danish international Krohn-Dehli once again put it on plate for his teammate.

Spanish referee Teixeira Vitienes sent Celta Coach Paco Herrera to the stands in stoppage time for excessive time wasting. Mere seconds later Getafe’s Alexis Delgado was also dismissed for hitting out at an opponent after challenging for a ball in the air.

Celta held on for the 2-1 victory and their second victory of the 2012-13 campaign, while Getafe remain on four points hovering above the relegation zone.
