‘Appealing game against Sevilla’

Deportivo La Coruna Coach Jose Luis Oltra claims his side’s fixture with Sevilla on Monday night has many attractions, as they are an important team.

“It is a nice game because and there will be a little incentive to play well as they are an important team,” stated the Spanish tactician ahead of the match the Estadio Riazor on Monday night.

“Sevilla have started well, have clear ideas, are in a good run of form and generally perform very well both in defence and attack.

“They will be coming off the back of a win against Real Madrid, but we are also in a good run of form and will be playing in front of our own supporters.”

Newly promoted Deportivo have enjoyed an unbeaten start to life back in the top flight so far, collected six points from four matches.

However where Juan Carlos Valeron asserted yesterday that a win is important this weekend in light of upcoming games, Oltra stressed that wasn't the right attitude.

“I usually agree with Valeron, but I believe we cannot keep track of the numbers and points at this point, we need to go out there to win.

“The team conveys security and optimism but knows the challenge that lies ahead.

“We have to think only of Sevilla. And then, we will not give up in any game. We will take each game as they come and try to add points in each, three or one, competing with our weapons and our style.”
