Mallorca without Nunes, Dos Santos

The suspended Jose Nunes will miss Mallorca's clash with Valencia on Sunday, while there will be no debut yet for Giovani dos Santos.

Portuguese centre-back Nunes sits out the game after having his appeal against his red card at Osasuna last weekend rejected.

The 35-year-old joins Alvaro Gimenez on the sidelines, while Dos Santos has not yet made his debut for the club due to the same hamstring injury that has troubled him since the London 2012 Olympics, when he was forced to sit out Mexico’s victory against Brazil in the gold medal match.

However, the good news for Mallorca Coach Joaquin Caparros is that forward Victor Casadesus is fit and could partner Israeli international Tomer Hemed in attack.

Mallorca have not won either of their last two home meetings with Valencia, with last season’s corresponding fixture ending in a 1-1 draw at the Iberostar.

Mallorca squad to play Valencia: Aouate, Calatayud, Joao, Anderson, Pina, Antonio Lopez, Pereira, N'Sue, Tomer, Javi Marquez, Geromel, Bigas, Pep Lluis Marti, Alfaro, Arizmendi, Kevin, Victor, Ximo
