‘Getafe are a great team, but…’

Celta Vigo Coach Paco Herrera values the strength of weekend opponents Getafe, but is still keen for his team to pick up a win.

Herrera’s side have slipped to just above the relegation zone after three defeats from their opening four games and he knows that visiting side Getafe will be no easy opponent.

“It will be a tough game because Getafe seems like a great team,” the 58-year-old told gathered media today.

“I have much respect for them because they have high level players. They have a very balanced squad and the team is doing a good job.

“I expect them to sit back and try to surprise Celta with fast counter-attacks, whilst sometimes try and pressurise us for the ball in other phases of play.”

Even so, he wants a win from the Galician hosts on Saturday evening.

“I would like to see the Celta that we saw in three of the previous four games, but improving performance in both defence and attack.

“This is our unfinished work and we aim to defend more robustly and do more damage in attack against our opponents.

“For us it is very important to maintain the good feelings that we generated in previous games. Losing would be a step back.”
