Hapoel Kiryat Shmona boss Gili Landau said he was proud of his players after the 1-1 Europa League draw at Athletic Bilbao.

Landau believed it was an honour to have played at San Mames and revealed in a short Press conference following the match that his players, as well as himself, were very emotional.

“It is a great honour to have got such a result at a place like this,” he said. ”We are all very emotional and very happy and it gives us great hope for the next game.

“We are extremely satisfied and the atmosphere here was really impressive, splendid, a real football atmosphere.

“My side played a tactical game against a strong opponent and showed a certain security at the back. In the first half we had problems but solved them in the second.

“Once Fernando Llorente came on it changed the way Athletic played and it raised the game to a higher level, but we enjoyed it,” he concluded.
