Siqueira unworried by Granada form

Granada left-back Guilherme Siqueira says he is unworried about the club’s poor start to the season.

El Grana have taken just one point from the first three La Liga games but the Brazilian [pictured, right] feels it is not a true reflection on the way Juan Antonio Anquela’s team has performed thus far.

“We are not worried because we know the situation is misleading,” he told a Press conference.

“Against Rayo Vallecano we deserved to win and they scored against us in the 93rd minute, while in the Sevilla match we could have had a few goals despite playing with 10 men.

“At the Bernabeu we knew it was going to be impossible but I’m sure our luck will change.”

Granada host Deportivo de La Coruna this weekend before a daunting visit to the Camp Nou to face Barcelona next week, and Siqueira is aware that three points against the Galicians could prove vital.

“We know it will be difficult at Barca so Sunday’s match is key and we’ll be going out to win it because we don’t have any choice.

“Starting with the Depor game things will have to change but from what I’ve seen so far they are a team that has been hungry on their return to La Primera.
“They are very dangerous up front and have a good squad with lots of new players. That’s something we have gone through and it requires some time to adapt.

“Besides, our boss wasn’t with us last year and from now on things will be different, I’m sure of that,” he added.
