Sevilla midfielder Ivan Rakitic insists that Luka Modric thinks way ahead of anyone else when he is on the ball.
The Croatian will come up against his compatriot when Los Nervionenses take on Real Madrid at the Sanchez Pizjuan on Saturday, providing Modric gets onto the pitch for Jose Mourinho’s team, and was full of praise for Modric, saying he is a potential difference-maker.
“Modric is a great player who is different from the rest and thinks before everybody else.
“If the Special One has signed him then there is not much else to say,” Rakitic told AS.
“He is a very good option for Real Madrid and they are going to be very happy with him because he is a player who likes to get in and around the opposition’s penalty area.
“He is one of the most talented footballers I know,” he added.
