Michel laments financial imbalance

Sevilla Coach Michel Gonzalez has highlighted Real Madrid's superior resources ahead of the clubs La Liga meeting this Saturday.

The 49-year-old has tried to extinguish fans' fervent expectations ahead of the game at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, pointing to the differences in budgets between the competitors.

“Real Madrid have signed a player in Modric that almost exceeds our entire budget,” the former Los Blancos player told AS. “And he is there to compete with Mesut Ozil. That is Madrid.

“They are a team that has become a Mourinho team. He has changed the dynamic of the club.”

Michel went on to explain how his side proposed to beat the champions.

“We want to win and continue to play our style of football. Our players have to sacrifice themselves for the team.

“We want to develop on the start we have made, and try not to give Madrid the good time they had here last season.

“The results against Real Madrid here over the last two seasons are in the past. There are many players who are no longer here. This is a new team with new players, but they will be motivated by the 6-2 loss last year.”

“There are egos in the Madrid dressing room, as there are in every dressing room,” the tactician added.

“But we need to be aware of Cristiano Ronaldo. He is a formidable player.”
