Manucho keen for Valladolid chance

Real Valladolid’s Manucho is keen to take Coach Miroslav Djukic’s second chance this season and work his way back into the team.

The Angolan international, who was talking to the Press today after returning from representing his country this week, was one of half a dozen players informed in pre-season that they had no future at Valladolid.

However, as is the case with Alberto Bueno, Manucho did not find a new club and has found that the door to the first team has subsequently been reopened.

“It was a somewhat complicated situation,” understated the striker today.

“Everything has passed now, though, and I have to work on getting an opportunity. I’m a footballer and I have to work and show that I can play and help the team.

“I have spoken with Djukic and he gave me confidence. He has told me to train and demonstrate. I know what I have to do.”
