Piatti injured in training

Valencia midfielder Pablo Piatti was forced to retire from training early with a suspected fracture to his right arm, according to AS.

The Argentine winger will be assessed by the club doctors this afternoon, but initial reports suggest that the 23-year-old has a slight fracture to the ulna in his right arm, which means he could be out for a few weeks.

The injury occurred as the former Almeria man slipped whilst completing an exercise which involved the players attempting a series of volleys. The Argentina international fell awkwardly and was left writhing on the ground in agony.

Piatti had seemingly hit some form, as he bagged a goal in Los Che's 3-0 friendly win over Alcoyano on Thursday evening.
