‘Premier League more attractive’

New Swansea City signing Pablo Hernandez has claimed he left Valencia because the Premier League is 'more attractive' than La Liga.

The 27-year-old winger has lambasted the duopoly Real Madrid and Barcelona have over Spanish football, and also explained his reasons behind leaving Los Che.

“The Premier League is more attractive right now than the Spanish league,” he told reporters at a Press conference. “Just look at the league tables in recent years – Real Madrid and Barcelona are well above the rest. In England there is more equality.

“It was time to say goodbye, because in football sometimes you need a change, a new challenge. When I had the chance to go to the Premier League I decided it was for the best.

“Manuel Pellegrino [Valencia Coach] told me he wanted me to stay, but my decision was already made. Last year I lost prominence in the side, but football comes up with these things and they have helped me mature and learn.”
