Tino Costa: Los Che unrewarded

Valencia midfielder Tino Costa believes his team has not been rewarded for their start to the new La Liga season.

Los Che have taken just two points from draws with Real Madrid and Deportivo de La Coruna and went down narrowly to Adriano’s only goal of the game against Barcelona at the Camp Nou on Sunday.

“It’s annoying to have only two points because we have played very well and have not been rewarded 100 per cent for our efforts,” Costa told the club’s official website.

“Nonetheless, we are relaxed because it’s always difficult to get off to a good start at somewhere like Real Madrid. I think we have competed well so we must continue like this.”

The Argentine international also acknowledged the Camp Nou is an equally tough place to visit, while he believed Valencia had chances to have won the game in the second half.

“Although they had a lot of the ball and dominated the match, because it was Barcelona we knew how they would play and the team’s attitude was good after the break, so that was something positive,” he explained.
