Miroslav Djukic praised his Real Valladolid players in defeat at Athletic Bilbao for maintaining their style of play.
“We went into a very intense game against a very difficult opponent to beat, when playing with intensity,” rued the tactician in looking back at his side’s 2-0 loss at San Mames this afternoon.
“When at 1-0 we became more relaxed and had more of the ball, but we could not take advantage of that.
“The team continues to play its football and does not shy away from that, but then today so has our opponent. These are the games in which you are convinced of a winning mentality.”
