Ighalo boosts Granada

Granada have been boosted by the news that striker Odion Ighalo will be at the club a fourth consecutive season on loan from Udinese.

According to Granada Hoy, agreement was reached on Friday evening that will see the Nigerian return to the club after he had originally gone back to the Serie A outfit having been unable to agree terms with the Andalusians.

The 23-year-old arrived at Los Carmenes in July 2009 and his goals proved instrumental in El Grana’s successive promotions from Segunda B to La Primera, while he was also the club’s leading goalscorer last season on their return to the top flight after a 35-year absence.

Ighalo will train on Saturday with Juan Antonio Anquela’s squad but will not form part of the expedition that will travel to Madrid for Sunday’s game with Real.
