Mallorca start pleases Aouate

Real Mallorca goalkeeper Dudu Aouate says he is a happy man and is satisfied with Los Bermellones’ start to the season.

Joaquin Caparros’ men sit sixth in the table on four points after an opening day victory over Espanyol and Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Malaga, and the Israeli international feels it is just reward for the hard work put in during pre-season.

“I’m happy and satisfied as we worked on being fresh for the start of the season after doing two weeks in Holland then working hard in Parma. We are looking good,” he told a Press conference.

“We won the first game and that was important because it’s always good to start well. “Then we got a point at Malaga and it was imperative we did so because we have lost there for the last three years.”

Nonetheless, he is aware there is still a long way to go and it will mean nothing if the progress made is not maintained long-term.

“There have only been two games so far and we need to carry on in this manner.

“We have four points that nobody can take away from us but we have to forget about that and concentrate on getting more,” he added
