Granada’s best yet to come

Antonio Floro Flores says it is ‘logical’ for Granada to not be at their best so early in the season, but warns Sevilla that his team are still strong.

The Italian, on loan from Udinese this season, was speaking the media ahead of Sunday’s home match against fellow Andalucians Sevilla.

Granada find themselves pointless after one game, having been defeated by Rayo Vallecano last weekend thanks to a stoppage-time free-kick.

“Sevilla are very strong, but so too are we and we can achieve a victory,” the striker enthused.

“It is logical that in our first few games we won’t be on top of our game, but very soon you will see the best of Granada. Bad luck played its part in our game on Monday at Rayo.

“Tomorrow will be difficult, but the fans can be an extra player for us in the game. We want high spirits from the fans of Granada, at home we cannot drop points.

“Personally, I’d like to score in the first victory of the season.”
