Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone says he is not interested in the Supercopa de Espana game clash between Barcelona and Real Madrid.
The two giants of Spanish football meet on Thursday night but Simeone says his own club’s forthcoming fixture with Athletic Bilbao takes precedence over any other matters.
Los Colchoneros take on Marcelo Bielsa’s team on Monday night then face a European Super Cup game in Monaco with Chelsea four days later, and the Argentine revealed in a Press conference that his thoughts remain focused on his own team and their start to the new season.
“Today I am going to watch Athletic against HJK Helsinki [in the Europe League]. “Nothing else interests me including the Supercopa game between Barca and Real Madrid,” he told a Press conference on being asked his thoughts on the game at the Camp Nou.
