Pepe banned from electrical devices

Real Madrid defender Pepe has been told he cannot use his computer, television or mobile phone until he has fully recovered from his head injury.

The Portuguese international collided with Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas in Sunday evening’s 1-1 draw with Valencia at the Santiago Bernabeu. After a night in hospital, he was released following a positive response from testing.

Pepe has been reported as having suffered from a serious concussion which resulted in temporary memory loss and confusion.

Club doctors are taking serious precautions to nurse the defender back to health, which include prohibiting him from using any electrical devices.

The 29-year-old had asked to return for his side’s Super Cup clash with Barcelona this evening, but medics immediately denied him permission.
