Barcelona President Sandro Rosell believes that full-back Eric Abidal will return to action between January and February of next year.
Rosell was speaking at Barcelona’s World Congress meeting, where he announced details of the French international's recuperation.
After a successful liver transplant back in March of this year, doctors told the 32-year-old he could play football again one day.
“We know it has been very difficult for him but he has all of our support and I firmly believe Abidal could be back in the land of football by January or February of 2013,” he told the gathered audience.
