Real Madrid defender Pepe will be submitted to tests on Monday following a head injury suffered in Sunday´s 1-1 draw with Valencia.
The Portuguese was involved in a collision with his own goalkeeper Iker Casillas and admitted to the La Paz hospital in Madrid with what a club statement called ‘a head injury that caused a confused state and agitation’.
“CT sedation has already been carried out without any significant findings while the player has remained stable with a good level of awareness,” it added.
The defender was later discharged, but is due to be referred back for more medical tests and will undergo further scans before he is given the all clear.
