Herrera: There’s no justice

Paco Herrera lamented his Celta Vigo team’s poor finishing on Saturday evening, warning his misfiring strikers that: “there is no justice to football.”

The newly-promoted Galicians went down 1-0 to Malaga in front of their home crowd in the Primera Division’s first game of the new season, but they notably wasted several opportunities to score.

Coach Herrera tried to look on the bright side, but couldn’t help ruing the chances that were squandered.

“It was a nice game and very serious on our part, I think we achieved the goal of wanting to win,” began the Coach to reporters post-match.

“We could have scored several goals but in the end we lost and we must learn from this, because there is no justice to football.

“I’m sad and annoyed by the result, but my team was great and I know they have much to hold on to. We had quite a few chances and I was sure Iago [Aspas] or Quique [de Lucas] would have scored those. The important thing though is to create the chances.”
