Mourinho adds to Madrid backroom staff

Jose Mourinho has added a new member to his coaching staff at Real Madrid, according to reports in Spain.

Luis Campos, a personal friend of the Madrid boss, has been brought in as a scout who will double up as an analyst of Los Blancos’ future opponents, bringing to five the number of Portuguese on the club’s backroom staff.

Former player Aitor Karanka is the only Spaniard in the group, which also comprises Rui Faria, Silvino Louro and Jose Manuel Ferreira de Morais, with the latter scheduled to share duties with the new man next season.

Campos has coached several teams in the Portuguese League, including Beira-Mar and Gil Vicente, and last year presented his DVD 'Train to Play' at a shopping centre in the Spanish capital, when Mourinho accompanied him to the launch.

Mourinho, however, has wasted no time in getting his friend involved at the club, taking the morning training session on Real’s second day of pre-season work on Tuesday, and Campos showed his delight via his Twitter account.

“As I said some time ago, this era marks my return to work. Hala Madrid!”
