Kaka can go says Mourinho

Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho will meet midfielder Kaka on Monday to tell the Brazilian he no longer has a future with Los Blancos.

The 30-year-old had a decent start to last season when he looked to be back to his best, yet his form tailed off towards the end of the campaign and this has convinced Mourinho to offload him and make way for Tottenham Hotspur’ s Luka Modric, reports AS.

The only problem for the La Liga champions is that Kaka commands a salary of €9m-a-year, a sum he will be loathe to give up with three years of his contract still remaining at the Santiago Bernabeu, plus the fact Madrid will look to recoup at least €25m of the €68.5m they paid when signing him from Milan in July 2009.

An injury-ravaged spell in the Spanish capital has seen Kaka make just 49 starts in the last three years, although he has been consistently linked with some of Europe’s top clubs including Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain, but his departure now appears inevitable providing Real can find a club willing to accommodate him.

Even so, some common ground may need to be found on both sides, with Madrid reducing their asking price and Kaka lowering his wage demands.
