Barcelona are about to finalise their second signing of the summer. They had hoped it would be Nico Williams, but with plenty of uncertainty surrounding his future, they’ve moved quickly to tie up a deal for his Spain teammate, Dani Olmo.
Earlier this week, Barcelona agreed terms with RB Leipzig. Olmo is already in the Catalan capital, and has undergone successful medical examinations. MD say that he will sign his contract on Friday.
Barcelona will make Olmo’s arrival official thereafter, although his presentation will not take place until next week. According to the report, the idea is for Olmo to be unveiled on Monday, before the Joan Gamper Trophy fixture against Monaco.

Barcelona will soon have their man, the one that Joan Laporta and Deco wanted – despite obvious deficiencies elsewhere in Hansi Flick’s squad. It remains to be seen whether Olmo will play against Monaco on Monday, or whether he will merely be at the Estadi Olimpic as a special guest.
