Barcelona jetted off to the United States on Sunday for their annual pre-season tour. Hansi Flick’s side will face Manchester City, Real Madrid and AC Milan during their time stateside, and these matches will be used by the German manager to assess his squad ahead of the new season.

In the background of this tour, Barcelona are still working on returning to La Liga’s 1:1 rule, which will allow new signings to be registered. Money is still trying to be raised for their events, and the trip to the United States will help. According to Jijantes (via Diario AS), it will raise €11m just from the matches played.

Barcelona will earn €5m from the Clasico match-up against Real Madrid, while also receiving €3m each from the matches against Man City and Milan. However, the costs of flights and hotels will have to be deducted from this, so it won’t be €11m of pure profit for the Catalans. Still, a very handy amount.
