Real Madrid planning fresh approach to sign Alphonso Davies

It’s already been a good summer for Real Madrid, following confirmation of Kylian Mbappe’s arrival following the expiry of his contract with Paris Saint-Germain. There should be more to come during the transfer window, with the possibility of two defenders arriving at the Santiago Bernabeu.

A centre-back will be sought, and Los Blancos’ target on that front is Leny Yoro. Furthermore, Alphonso Davies remains an option that could be explored this summer, rather than waiting for his Bayern Munich contract to expire in 2025.

Despite the fact that Real Madrid intend to renew Ferland Mendy’s deal in the coming weeks, Diario AS say that new talks with take place between Los Blancos and Bayern once the 23-year-old’s involvement at the Copa America ends.

Real Madrid have been following Davies’ performances in the United States, and they hope to take him there themselves for their pre-season tour, which gets underway later this month. However, there is no rush, as club bosses are more than happy to continue counting on Mendy and Fran Garcia.
