In recent weeks, Barcelona have started compiling a list of low-cost left winger options, given that it is far from certain that they will be able to afford their primary target, Nico Williams. On their shortlist has been Jaden Philogene, although their chances of signing the 22-year-old have taken a major hit.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Philogene is prioritising a move to the Premier League this summer, and he is entertaining offers from Crystal Palace, Everton and Ipswich Town. It means that Barcelona’s chances of doing a deal with Hull City have become very complicated, and barring any changes, he won’t be an option for the Catalans.

Barcelona will hope that missing out on Philogene matters little, as Williams is still their top target to improve the left wing position. They have been linked with Toluca’s Max Araujo as another low-cost alternative, although he is also garnering interest from multiple Premier League clubs.
